I am a UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellow currently teaching at UC San Diego in the Computer Science and Engineering Department and the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute.
My research focuses on harnessing Artificial Intelligence for obtaining a sustainable future for all, in the face of our rapidly changing climate. My research group leverages and develops open-source intelligent algorithms in genomics, automation, and classification/detection. Our mission statement is “Forging a Sustainable Future: Harnessing Bioinformatics and AI to Ensure Food Security and Species Rescue in the Face of a Changing Climate.”
I have a B.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Biology.
I am currently seeking a tenure-track faculty position. Please contact me if you would like to discuss cool science, a seminar, or if you are interested in collaborating.
